Adam Dreece is a Canadian, award-winning, best-selling indie author and has published 14 books since 2014. He’s known as much for his young adult, steampunk meets fairytale series The Yellow Hoods, as for his more recent forays into supplements for classic and modern Dungeons & Dragons supplements (the Wondrous & Perilous series incl. Treasures volumes 1 & 2).

By day, Adam is a technology leader. He graduated from the University of Waterloo, started his career in Silicon Valley, then was at Microsoft, and has twice been the Chief Technology Officer of startups (see Adam Zouak on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/adamzouak/ ).

Adam is also a father of 3 and believes deeply in being the mentor he wished he’d had. He exercises that philosophy by investing time in writers of all ages to give them a boost or help them over their hurdles, sometimes having a quick video chat, sometimes having a tea with a kid and their grandparents. As a speaker, Adam is always open about being dyslexic, having chronic pain, and dealing with anxiety and depression to help others understand how to work through or around those challenges.

Having had a highly successful, first Kickstarter in November 2023 (635% funded) for Wondrous & Perilous Treasures volume 2, Adam is currently planning the next campaign which will likely be Wondrous & Perilous Tales volume 1, a series of fantasy short stories with additional content for fans of D&D and compatible games.
